The Foster County Independent is the official newspaper of Foster County, the City of Carrington, and for the Carrington School District in central North Dakota.
Since 1883
The Foster County Independent is published by AWE, LLC, a regional publisher and commercial printer with locations in Carrington and New Rockford, ND. The mission of AWE, LLC is to deliver community-focused news and views while offering affordable and effective marketing solutions for businesses who want to enhance their image in the community and online.
We fulfill this mission in four main ways:
• Publish two community newspapers, the Foster County Independent and the New Rockford Transcript.
• Publish bi-annual tourism and recreation guides, the Lake Region Guide and the Turtle Mountain Guide, in North Dakota. The focus of these publications is to highlight the variety of things to do and see in central North Dakota. Our recreation guides feature full color maps, editorial content about area attractions, and a comprehensive events calendar.
• Produce small business marketing products and printed goods, from business cards and letterhead to websites and custom graphics.
• Offer a wide range of branded promotional products, from apparel and mugs to banners and signs.
We also offer a full line of office supplies at our Carrington location, 1191 West Main St.
