Over May 23-25, I attended my third North Dakota State Track and Field Meet for the New Rockford Transcript as a photographer. The first state track meet I ever covered was the year my stepbrother, Kaden Jensen, was a senior. This was the first time Kaden had ever competed at the state level as well. After a week off, the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets were back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 16 on their home court against the Harvey/Wells County Hornets. After the recent three-class system change, the Hornets are no longer in Region 4 with the Rockets. The New Rockford-Sheyenne girls' basketball team kicked off their season on Monday, Nov. 27 against the rivals from down the road – the Carrington Cardinals.
