The HWC junior high track and field teams traveled to Hazen on Monday, April 24, for the Hazen Junior High Meet. The day was a huge success, as the seventh grade girls finished third, the eighth grade boys fourth and the seventh grade boys fourth. The annual parent-member banquet of the Fessenden-Bowdon FFA Chapter was held on Thursday, March 23, in the new gym of the Fessenden-Bowdon School. The annual banquet was a way for the chapter to recognize the accomplishments of its members and the students enrolled in agriculture education. A split squad of Harvey-Wells County Hornets made the long trek to Bowman to compete in the Bowman County Invite on Tuesday, April 11. The Fessenden-Bowdon FFA traveled to Minot recently to participate in the State FFA Agriculture Sales, Agronomy and Livestock Judging Career Development Events and came back with some great results. The Harvey-Wells County Hornets started their indoor season off with a bang on Saturday, March 25, at the unofficial NDSU Class B Indoor Meet, held at the Shelly Ellig Track and Field Complex on the campus of NDSU in Fargo. The Warwick Warriors pulled off the first of a few upsets in the Region 4 Boys Basketball Tournament by defeating the Harvey-Wells County Hornets, 65-56, on Monday, March 6, at the Devils Lake Sports Center in Devils Lake. Harvey-Wells County did what they had to do to earn a trip to the Region 4 Girls Basketball Tournament. Harvey-Wells County has three seniors, and they continue to help the Hornets dominate the final games of the season.
