The 65th Annual Field Day at the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center (CREC) campus was held on July 16. The annual Jim Carr and Gary Rosenau Tractor Trek was held on Thursday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m. The drivers started at Carr's shop which is located 1.75 miles east of Kracht Implement. They preceded into town past Golden Acres Manor, down Main Street, then headed north to John Holth's farm where they briefly rested. On July 10 Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts (DPRCA) production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" premiers in New Rockford's Old Church Theater. There are four new cast members joining this production, Jeremiah Mitchell, Jakob Innes, Marisa Sanchez, and Simon Schlenker. These cast members will portray the various spellers in the spelling bee.
