Twelve years after the Carrington Cardinaires made history at the North Dakota Association of Dance and Drill (NDADD) state championship by winning an unprecedented four-event sweep, they did it again. The 2024 version of what has become Class B's premier dance troupe equaled the exploits of the 2012 team by winning the high kick, hip hop, pom and jazz categories at this year's competition, held at the Minot State University Dome January 26-27. It was the third time overall that the Cardinaires...
Voters in North Dakota may soon face an interesting choice at the ballot box this November, and not just between the various candidates. Right now, efforts are underway to place a new initiative on the ballot, one that would essentially eliminate property taxes in the State of North Dakota. The effort is being led by Republican Rick Becker, a former state representative and current candidate for U.S. House. Becker and the initiative's supporters are currently soliciting signatures to qualify...

Shingles and tin roofs topped the list again this year for repair on homes and businesses during the year, with 36 permits. The top project in 2023, was a home being...

From the warmth of their shanty 'up north,' old pals Marvin and Lloyd spin wit, wisdom and hilarious songs a...
