During the meeting held on Tuesday, February 21, a discussion arose about applicants for the open county road position. Apparently, several of the applicants want more money than the county’s step pay scale allows. With two-thirds of its 185 residents over the age of 50, Sheyenne is indeed in its golden years. Community leaders in Sheyenne and other towns are hopeful that they've found a way to slow or reverse that aging process, but they believe it will take an influx of new Americans to do so. At the moment Sheyenne shows its age...

But the state’s population dynamic has changed dramatically since then and it was time ramp up a third class. This time, however, instead of Class C, the new class will be C...

    Tom Kalb, NDSU Extension Horticulturist|Feb 27, 2023
