    Mandan Braves senior Kenlee Edland was selected to the NDHSAA's All-State girls' hockey team for the 2023-24 season. A five-year varsity player since eighth grade, Edland was named the Braves' team MVP for the third consecutive season. She plans to attend the University of North Dakota (UND) and major in dentistry.     Three Carrington archers earned a trip to the NASP Western National Tournament in Sandy, Utah on April 26 and 27. Thirty local archers earned the opportunity to compete at the North Dakota State NASP Tournament in Minot on March 15 and 16, with their flights in both bullseye and 3D taking place on Friday night.     Elk, moose and bighorn sheep applications are available online at the North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s website, gf.nd.gov. The deadline for applying is March 27. A total of 833 elk licenses are available to hunters this fall, an increase of 230 from last year. Licenses in units E1E, E1W and E3 increased due to a stable to increasing elk population.
