Brynhild Haugland, former member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, was born on July 28, 1905, to Norwegian immigrants on a farm near Minot, North Dakota. An American flag was stolen from the New Home Cemetery for the second time in a year. Woodworth area resident Arvin Goter said Wednesday that a flag and pole had waved high in the cemetery, which is located 9 miles north and 4 miles west of Woodworth, for 40 years, until this past July. Goter said he had raised a new flag on the pole in the spring of 2021, and then both the pole and flag disappeared in July, three months later.
