    With a few returning achievers at the top of their lineup, the Carrington cross country team is poised to make some waves on area golf courses as the leaves turn. Coach Josh Kerbaugh and Assistant April Berntson have 12 total runners signed up to compete in the Cardinal red.     Joe Lindberg of the Carrington FFA Chapter participated in the North Dakota State FFA Tractor Driving Event held at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot on Friday, July 22. Lindberg placed second in the Basic Division which includes FFA members that have completed their sophomore year and younger.   • Arrowwood Merchants win state softball title

    On August 6-7, the Arrowwood Merchants women's softball team won the 2022 Rec 4 West Women's Slow Pitch Softball Tournament in Bismarck. The team plays in the Jamestown Women's Softball League. Members of the team are from the Carrington, Grace City, and Cooperstown areas, with pickup players from Jamestown and Lisbon.
