Thank you to many volunteers whose efforts made the 2022 Foster County Fair a success. A total of 126 4-H’ers, including 37 Cloverbuds, exhibited projects at the fair. The exhibits included 373 static projects, 7 horses, 29 rabbits, 13 swine, 34 sheep, 26 goats, 14 dairy and 27 beef. Fargo, N.D. - Home Builders Care of Fargo-Moorhead Foundation, the charitable organization of the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead, is happy to announce another scholarship recipient. Sixty-one members of the Carrington FFA Chapter exhibited a total of 136 Ag. Mechanics Exhibits at the Foster County Fair. Eighteen projects were exhibited in the Small Metal Division, 87 projects in the Small Wood Division, 17 in the Medium Metal Division and 14 exhibits in the Medium Wood Division. Brandon Sola, Chief of Police for the Carrington Police Department (CPD), was killed Tuesday, June 28 while riding his motorcycle. On Friday, June 24, the Foster County Fair sponsored a Kid's Pedal Tractor Pull put on by Olson's Pedal Tractor Pulls. There were 33 kids that participated in the event from ages 3-11. All of the kids that placed in the top three in their age group (ages 4-11) have the opportunity to move on to compete at the N.D., State Pedal Tractor Pull in Wyndmere, N.D., on Saturday, September 10. Northern Plains Electric Co-op Project Round Up awarded a grant to the Carrington Fire Department to help LeaAnn and Chuck defray her medical expenses. The Carrington Ambulance hosted two babysitting safety day clinics in June at Carrington Ambulance building. A total of 46 girls and boys learned that the most important job as a baby-sitter is to keep the children safe. They practiced CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver for children and infants. More than 600 students graduated from Bismarck State College after completing the Spring 2022 semester.
