Carrington, N.D. – The Carrington community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on August 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church which helped collect a total of 80 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 68 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 62 individuals were able to successfully donate at the Vitalant blood drive on August 8. A total of eight donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor. V...

After working for Swanson Seeds since 2002, Doug Retzlaff has now bought the Pioneer Seeds distributorship on the north end of Carrington. The Foster County Commission had a visit from the Water Board at their meeting last week about creating a special assessment district for landowners along the Bordulac Highway. During the meeting held on Tuesday, September 6, Doug Zink spoke to the commission about the project. On August 31, Foster County Soil Conservation District held its annual Eco Ed Day tour for sixth graders from the Carrington and Midkota Schools. State Game and Fish Department migratory bird biologists expect a fall flight of ducks from North Dakota similar to 2007, 2008 and 2017.
