    The Annual Fishing Derby sponsored by the Sykeston Community Club was held Sunday, June 2 at the Sykeston Park. There was a good turnout despite the rain.     The Foster County Commission had some concerns at their last meeting when hearing from Garrison Diversion representatives about the Red River Valley Water Supply Project that is running through the south end of the county.     On Thursday, May 23, at approximately 4:04 a.m., a vehicle occupied by three area residents was involved in a police chase through the streets of Grand Forks that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour.     Carrington’s annual cleanup time is set for Thursday, May 30 through Saturday, June 1. Residents of Carrington can use the city-wide cleanup week to haul trash and other waste to the city’s landfill for no charge.
