The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is extending the application due date for the Township Assistance Program to Oct. 6. The due date is being extended to allow townships the necessary time to plan and submit project applications that meet the program requirements. Up to $10 million is available through the Township Assistance Program. The Foster County Commission learned at their meeting last week that some of the truck drivers hauling for Garney Construction, working on the Red River Valley Water Supply Pipeline, has county road superintendent Nate Monson very frustrated. Members of the Central N.D. Steam Threshers Reunion are breathing new life into old buildings on the show grounds and have more new events planned for the 65th annual reunion set for September 15-17. Nearly a year after 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson was tragically killed following a street dance in McHenry, Shannon Brandt was at the Foster County Courthouse in Carrington on Friday, Sept. 8, for sentencing.
