KC youth free throw contest January 30

Knights of Columbus Council 4951 will be conducting a basketball free throw contest on Sunday, January 30 at the Carrington High School east gym (use door #7).

Area boys and girls, ages 9 to 14 (as of Jan. 1, 2022), are invited to compete in the contest.

Registration and warm-ups will begin at 1 p.m. and the contest will start at 1:30. A registration form, available at the site, needs to be completed including parent signature for youth to participate.

All girls, plus boys ages 9-11 will use a women’s regulation-size ball. All contestants ages 9-11 will shoot from a 12-ft. line; ages 12-14 will shoot from the standard 15-ft. line. Each contestant will be allowed three warm-up shots before shooting 15 consecutive shots for the competition.

All participants will receive awards.
