The Annual Carrington FFA Alumni Crop Show is scheduled for Sunday through Thursday, February 20-24, at Runnings. The FFA Alumni Crop Show is conducted to promote the crop industry of Foster County and the State of North Dakota.
The crop show is open to all members of the Carrington FFA Chapter, all members of the Foster County 4-H program, any youth attending Carrington Public Schools and all adult residents of Foster County.
Exhibitors are encouraged to exhibit threshed grain samples that have been hand-picked for seed quality. There is also a grain sheave and ear corn division.
The show provides Carrington FFA members a chance to exhibit threshed grain samples before the North Dakota State Crop Show held in conjunction with the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City.
All samples are judged and awarded blue, red, or white ribbons. Cash premiums are paid exhibitors based on the ribbon awarded. Additional premiums are paid to outstanding samples.
Adult entries are not eligible for premiums or special awards.
Present crop show sponsors include the Carrington FFA Alumni, Runnings, Foster County Ag Improvement Association, Swanson Seeds, H & A Seeds, Allied Agronomy, Miller Elevator Company, Dakota Growers Pasta Company, Wholesale Ag Products, Central City Grain, Gavilon Grain, LLC and Arrowwood Prairie Co-op.
