The Titans finished up their regular season schedule with both a positive and negative result, rolling past the Larimore Polar Bears at GCC before taking an eight-point loss to Lakota in the finale three nights later.

A quartet of Griggs/Midkota players achieved double figures in the victory, with 15 points each coming from Jaxon Gronneberg and Logan Topp. Brady Haugen also added 14 points and Carter Spitzer 12.

Avery Gratton ended up as the high scorer for the Polar Bears (0-19) with 12 points. Jacob Wanke had nine and Jace Collison eight more.

Twenty-two was the magic number for the high scorers in the G-M/Lakota contest, matched by Topp and the Raiders’ Jaxon Baumgarn, but Lakota got just enough more scoring depth to take the win.

Gronneberg had 10 points and Spitzer eight, while the winners received 12 points by Ross Thompson.

G-M, with a final regular season mark of 6-13, was the number six seed at the District 5 Boys’ Basketball Tournament in Jamestown, and took on Carrington last Saturday evening, February 26, in first round action.
