Jensen named to ND Wrestling HOF Class of '23

Former Carrington High School wrestling standout, and current CHS assistant coach and junior high coach, Justin Jensen, was named as an upcoming honoree for the North Dakota Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2023.

Jensen was a two-time state champion for the Cardinals in 1994 and 1995, at the 130 and 145-pound weight classes. He was a four-time state placer at CHS from 1992-95, and was the recipient of the "Mr. Wrestler" award for Class B in 1995.

He then wrestled at Valley City State University, where he became an NAIA All-American, and was also involved with the freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling scene as a youth.

Since coming back to Carrington, he has been involved in coaching various levels of scholastic wrestlers for over 20 years.

He will join additional CHS Hall of Fame members Al Larson, Lance Koenig, Troy Humphrey, Mark Pazdernik, Mike Peterson, Jason Anderson, Kirk Zink, Chris Zink, Kelly Hagel, Jason Wagner, Steve Copenhaver, Eric Hewitt and Jeremy Wolf.

Wolf recently had his formal induction ceremony at the 2022 State Wrestling Tournament in Fargo February 17-19.
