The Foster County 4-H Horse Judging and Hippology teams wrapped up their season at the state contest in Fargo on April 2.
A combined team from Foster and Sargent counties placed first in the senior division of the horse judging contest.
The win qualified the team to represent North Dakota at the Western National Roundup in Denver next January.
Foster County 4-H'ers Baylee Lura and Brekka Kuss placed third and seventh, respectfully, in the senior division.
In the junior division, Foster County 4-H'ers placed eighth overall. The team members were Ayla Held, Ashley Lindberg, Grace Inglish and Gemma Inglish.
In the hippology contest, the senior Foster-Sargent County team placed second overall, with Lura finishing sixth and Kuss finishing 11th.
The intermediate Foster County team placed sixth. Team members were Jaedyn Lura, Ashley Lindberg and Gemma Inglish.
The junior team finished tenth, with Grace Inglish, Ayla Held, Addyson Gussiaas and Alayna Gussiaas representing Foster County.
Hippology is an activity to test a participant's knowledge and understanding of horse science.
