*May 15: Spring turkey and light goose conservation order close.
Fishing:
*Devils Lake elevation, April 26: 1,448.4 feet above mean sea level (MSL).
*Stump Lake elevation: 1,448.13 MSL.
*Lake Sakakawea elevation: 1,827.74 MSL; 14,600 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.
*Devils Lake, Ed’s Bait Shop, Devils Lake: Some pike activity in Devils Lake northern feeder coulees and creeks. Try Mauvais Coulee or Channel A for walleye.
*Devils Lake, Lakeview Lodge, Minnewaukan: Weather permitting, continued fair activity along the bridges, such as Hwy. 2 or Channel A, including some nice-sized pike.
*Devils Lake, West Bay Resort, Minnewaukan: No new reports but try the bridges for pike.
*Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Poor weather limiting activity other than try working area bridges for walleye.
*Foster County area lakes, Dry Dock, Carrington: Anglers generally waiting for warmer, stable weather with little activity on area lakes.
*Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Weather permitting, a few anglers are heading to area lakes but limited reports on success.
*Lake Ashtabula, The Hungry Pelican at the Crossing, Luverne: Weather permitting, a few anglers starting to head out onto the open water but limited reports yet.
*Lake Ashtabula, Bayshore, Valley City: Lake is open with rising elevation. Docks likely not in place until water levels stabilize from runoff.
*Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait & Tackle, Garrison: A few anglers on Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon with both lakes having open water but limited activity overall with no new reports.
*Lakes Audubon & Sakakawea, Hwy. 83 Lawn & Leisure, Garrison: Look for more activity as roads and access improve around the east end of Lake Sakakawea and Lake Audubon.
*Lake Sakakawea/Lake Audubon/Missouri River, Scott’s Bait and Tackle, Pick City: Try working the Missouri River wing walls in early morning or dark hours, otherwise little activity on the Missouri River tailrace or down river. Look for increasing walleye activity, however. No Lake Sakakawea reports.
*Lonetree WMA area lakes, Harvey: No new reports.
N.D. rivers:
*James River, Kensal: River stage, 6.18 feet; streamflow, 415 CFS.
*Pembina River, Walhalla: River stage, 12.59 feet; streamflow, 7,720 CFS.
*Red River, Grand Forks: River stage, 45.64 feet; streamflow, 60,400 CFS.
*Sheyenne River, Warwick River stage, 5.51 feet; streamflow, 1,040 CFS.
