Daryl's Racing Pigs at the Foster Co. Fair

Many animal experts suggest that the pig is one of the smartest of all animals, if not the most intelligent of all mammals, maybe even more so than the average human. Daryl Lies of Daryl’s Racing Pigs may agree.

What started as an FFA project, over thirty years ago, is now a major attraction at the North Dakota State Fair and many county fairs throughout the state.

Daryl’s Racing Pigs will definitely be one of the main attractions of the 2022 Foster County Fair. They will “race” at 4:45, 5:45, and 8:30 p.m. both Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24.

Six pigs race around the track to receive their reward for racing, a sweet treat of cold Kool-Aid. Each pig has an assigned color. Spectators place a numbered ticket into the basket of the color of the pig they think will win. A number is drawn from the basket of the winning color. The winner spectator receives a special prize.

Throughout the races, Daryl provides commentary and jokes to make sure everyone leaves with a smile.
