Sykeston Fishing Derby June 5

The Sykeston Community Club is happy to again host the Lake Hiawatha Fishing Derby on Sunday, June 5.

The family event is sponsored by Sykeston Community Club at the Sykeston City Park.

This free event is open to children ages four through twelve and will take place from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.

As in the past, each registrant will receive a T-shirt and the North Dakota Game and Fish will provide a small tackle box to each child. Hot dogs will be served throughout the afternoon.

Participants are divided into three age groups to compete for the top prize of a new rod and reel. There will also be second and third place prizes. At the end of the afternoon, there will be door prize drawings for all children participating.

The Community Club is grateful to all of the generous donations it receives to help make this event a success.

June 5 is a free fishing day in North Dakota, so bring the whole family for a fun filled afternoon.
