"Foster County Public Health has shown its commitment to the health and well-being of the children of North Dakota by achieving outstanding immunization rates and being an Immunization Leader. High vaccination levels are the only way to protect your patients and communities against these diseases" states Molly Howell, Immunization Director for the Immunization Program at the N.D. Department of Health.
Because of this commitment, Foster County Public Health received two awards during the North Dakota Immunization Conference, June 22, 2022, in Bismarck, ND.
ThePediatric Series Award was presented to 16 provider offices (three of those were Local Public Health Units. (LPHU)
FCPH received a 100% rate for childhood immunizations for children aged 19-35 months, with children measured as up- to-date at the age of 24 months.
The Hepatitis A Outbreak Prevention Award was presented to five provider offices (two of which were LPHU).
FCPH received a 100% rate for two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine for children 19-35 months of age.
Foster County Public Health administrator, Lisa Hilbert, stated "The success of these two awards is due to the commitment that our parents, community, and staff have shown for disease prevention in Foster County. Our staff is excited to receive these awards on behalf of the amazing work done by our entire county".
