National Night Out August 2

Community partnerships with law enforcement and first responders will be highlighted at the annual National Night Out celebration, to be held Tuesday, August 2, from 5-8 p.m. at Carrington City Park.

In addition, the Poker-Style Cruise Night will be held that same evening, with registration at Thrivent (94 9th Ave. S.) for $20 per car from 5-6 p.m. Poker hands must be turned in to CBS' Bar and Grill at 96 10th Ave. S. at 8 p.m.

Twenty percent of the pot will go to the top poker hand, and prizes will be awarded to the second and third best poker hands, and the other 80 percent will be donated to the Carrington Healthy Communities Coalition.

This year's National Night Out is sponsored by the Carrington Police Department, and is dedicated to the memory of late Police Chief Brandon Sola.
