Structural Base Live Fire class held in Carrington

On July 23, the Carrington Fire Department hosted the Structural Base Live Fire class at their facility located at 1095 1st Street North, Carrington. This hands-on class is a live fire class using Class "A" burn materials. Attendees saw different fire growth stages, learned proper ways to attack vented/unvented fires using correct nozzles patterns, and learned ways to use hydraulic and positive pressure ventilation. Class sponsor and provider was the North Dakota Firefighters Association. Instructors were Aaron Lande (Mayville Fire), Paul Bench (Jamestown Rural Fire), Brenden Dockter (Bismarck Fire), Brian Galvin (Goodrich Fire), Ann Schuler (Horace Fire) and Ken Wangen (Carrington Fire). Fire departments present were Carrington, Jamestown Rural, Cleveland and Jamestown City.
