Fourth graders at Manfred Heritage Museum

Fourth grade students at Carrington Elementary took part in some outdoor learning at the Manfred Heritage Museum on Sept. 7. Topics included first people, traditional classroom, woodworking, blacksmithing, early homesteading, butter making and traditional games. Elementary Principal Jenna Helseth told school board members Tuesday, Sept. 13, that this is the second year students have gone to Manfred. Nearly 160 students and adults from seven different school districts attended. This Field Day is part of the fourth grade North Dakota Studies program.
