Cards, HWC run at Grahams Island

The Carrington Cardinals and HWC Hornets were two of the teams in attendance for the sixth annual Grahams Island Invitational meet, held at the state park of that name west of Devils Lake on Saturday, September 10, and hosted by the DLHS Firebirds.

Varsity and junior varsity races for both boys and girls were held. The varsity races are 5,000 meters in length, and JV is 3,000.

Carrington had enough racers on the varsity girls roster to place third as a team with a score of 73, behind meet winner Rugby's 17 and Devils Lake with 51 in second.
