I would like to introduce you to Brittany Long. She is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that joined our team in 2018.

Brittany made the decision to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner while working as the Administrator for Wells County Public Health. During her work there, she noted the great need for mental health care, and the lack of mental health resources available to our communities.

Brittany chose this career path because she wanted to make a change, and help end the stigma surrounding mental health.

Brittany's clinical practice centers around mental health care for patients age six and older. She provides consultations, and medication management for all psychiatric disorders such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar to name a few. She works closely with local therapists to ensure our patients are getting the best care possible.

Brittany really enjoys nutritional psychiatry and digging into how foods affect the body and our mental health. She would like to eventually become certified in nutritional psychiatry and trauma.

Brittany not only provides services at the Foster County Medical and Urgent Care Center, but also at the Family Clinic in New Rockford. She currently provides outreach services to a local business, and work is being done to add additional businesses.

Brittany also provides services to our sister hospitals in Oakes and Lisbon through telehealth services. If needed, she has the ability to provide telehealth services to other entities.

Brittany is available for appointments in Carrington and in New Rockford at the Family Clinic. To schedule an appointment at either location, please call 701-652-2515. Brittany and her nurse Tina, are ready to serve you.
