Runners at Larimore, Langdon

The Carrington cross country teams were on area courses for meets in Larimore on September 20 and Langdon last Monday, September 26.

In Larimore, the Cards had one top-10 finisher, Baylee Lura, who took ninth place in the girls’ varsity race in 22:41.39.

Other CHS girls’ runners included Macy Fiebiger (17th place, 23:49.25), Kaylin Pate (30th, 25:44.38) and Molly Fiebiger (40th, 26:24).

Boys’ varsity race top finishers for Carrington were Ewan Aberle and Trace Hoggarth in back-to-back 22nd and 23rd-place showings, with times of 20:57.24 and 20:58.37. Joe Lindberg (22:32.76) was 40th.

Two boys’ junior high runners, Ben Gustafson and Eric Hallwachs, placed 16th and 19th, respectively.

Up in Langdon, Kenadie Pazdernik was the meet champion in the varsity girls’ division with a 21:10.03 clocking. Baylee Lura was just three places behind in fourth (21:59.18), followed by Macy Fiebiger in 11th (23:27.81), Jaedyn Lura in 12th (23:46.25) and Molly Fiebiger in 24th place (26:53.25).

Lindberg took 20th in 21:30.28, and Aberle hit the finish line right behind him with a 21:43.50 time for 21st for the boys.

Gustafson and Hallwachs were seventh and eighth in the boys’ JV race, while Nela McKibben was sixth for the girls’ JV.

The Cards are hitting the home stretch, with a meet this past Saturday in Rugby, and another possible meet in Cooperstown on Thursday, October 6.

The East Region Cross Country Meet will be held at Cooperstown Golf Course Saturday, October 15.
