From the Past: Chief Wheeler extinguishes car fire

A motor fire in the Woodrow Topp car parked on Main Street here Tuesday forenoon was quickly extinguished by fire Chief F.K. Wheeler, who used a hand operated extinguisher. The car was damaged slightly. It was fortunate the fire did not make headway for a baby was sleeping in the backseat of the car.
