UPDATE: After press time, Carrington Public Schools announced via Facebook that the High School Pops Concert has been postponed to Monday, March 13 at 7:00 pm.
The bands and choirs of Carrington High School and Middle School will present the Pops Concert on Tuesday, February 28 in the high school gym beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The students will be performing under the direction of Kristina Schuh. The junior and senior high band and choir will sing and play songs fitting the theme movies and television.
The junior high choir will sing “Speechless” from the movie “Mulan” and the junior high band will play “Great Balls of Fire” from “Top Gun.” The senior high choir will sing “Hallelujah” from “Pentatonix,” and the senior high band will play music from “How to Train Your Dragon” as one of their songs.
When Schuh was asked why she chose these songs she said, “We chose these songs because they were fun to sing to and play and fun to listen to.”
The public is invited to attend this event.
