Community Choir concert Sunday, April 2

The Carrington Community Choir will present a Palm Sunday concert at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2 at Calvary Baptist Church, 725 Main Street in Carrington.

The title of this year’s program, “Living Hope,” reminds us of 1 Peter 1:3, “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Contemporary Christian worship songs and narration retell the events of the first Holy Week and celebrate our faith.

In addition, members of the choir will also share special musical numbers during the service.

A volunteer choir, this group gathers periodically to sing and share programs with the community. Linda Schuster, director of the group, commented on their return, “It’s been good for us to resume singing together. We’ve missed the camaraderie and we are looking forward to sharing our music on Palm Sunday.”

Admission is free. Calvary Women’s Ministries will host a fellowship time after the concert. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 725 Main Street in Carrington.
