The Carrington Gymnastics LLC Club had eight placewinners at the North Dakota State USA Gymnastics Meet, held Saturday, March 18, at the Minot State University Dome.
The team is coached by Tammy Sorensen and assisted by Jessie Lura and Brooke Kutz. Carrington had one individual champion in the meet, two others take third and three additional top-four finishes in various skill divisions.
Leighton Rzaszutak was the vault champ in the XB (Bronze) division, registering a 9.275 score on a 10-point scale.
In the rest of the Bronze standings involving local gymnasts, third place also went to Jayd Lura for bronze floor exercise (8.925), and Brynlee Hoff was a multi-placer by taking third in balance beam (8.750), a fourth place tie on vault (8.650) and fourth in the all-around competition (34.775) which combines the scores of all four events.
Emery Mischke also took fourth in floor with a 8.800 score, and Finlee Hagen sixth in beam (8.350) and seventh in vault (8.500). Parker Mattson had two seventh places, those coming in floor (8.725) and a tie on beam (8.700). Arilynn Gehrtz also competed in bronze, but did not place.
The XS (Silver) division had two Carrington placers. Paisley Lura was seventh on vault with a score of 8.950, and Addison Thompson tied for ninth in that same event at 8.775.
Three competed in the XG (Gold) division, those being Maddie Roller, Jessa Larsen and Kyah Lura. The trio did not earn top-10 placings.
