The Foster County 4-H crop judging teams wrapped up their season at the state contest in Carrington on Saturday, April 1.
The junior team finished first out of six teams. Team members are Kenleigh Hinrichs, Brandt Klein and Jackson Topp.
Individually, Hinrichs finished first out of 21 contestants. Klein placed fourth and Topp was seventh.
In the senior division, Foster County 4-H'ers finished second.
Joe Lindberg finished fourth out of 10 contestants. The team also included Abby Lee, Ashley Lindberg and Brekka Kuss.
The junior crop judging contest consists of crop seed pan classes, identification of plants and seeds, market factors of wheat, grain grading, and identification of insects and equipment. The senior contest also includes crop disorders.
The team is coached by Joel Lemer and Bruce Bachmeier.
