Edward Linde
Edward William Linde of Washington, died January 28, 2023, at age of 94.
Edward William Linde was born to immigrant parents, Herman Linde and Julianna Hoffman Linde, March 9, 1928, in the Carrington Hospital, Carrington, N.D. They lived in the Melville community at that time.
Speaking only German as a first grader, he attended a one-room country school, Bucephalia #2, and graduated from Bordulac High School.
He farmed in the area near the country school and the Miller Spur, seven miles southwest of Bordulac.
He married Ruby Berg of Tokio, N.D., in 1952 and later became a minister in the Assembly of God Church. He pastored in North Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois and Washington. His wife died July 20, 2022.
He is survived by son, David (Indiana); daughter, Opal (Washington); brother, Leonard (South Dakota); sister, Janet Linde Olson (Montana); seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; his parents; infant brother and sister and sister, Louise, at age two.
A private burial was held at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.
