Schedule notes

The CHS baseball team will travel to Velva today (April 24) for a 4:30 p.m. varsity/JV doubleheader with the Aggies.

Also, the softball team’s scheduled home date with the Thompson Tommies on that day has been moved from Carrington to Thompson, due to the local field not being in playable condition. It will start at 4 p.m.; varsity followed by JV.

(Correction: In last week’s Independent, the sponsor of the home Tuesday track meet which was canceled was misidentified.

The event in question was the Carrington Sports Boosters Meet, which was to be held on April 18. The Kiwanis/Lions Meet is scheduled to be contested on Saturday, May 6.
