State speech competition: Sage Patzer places sixth

On Saturday, April 29, the Carrington High School speech team competed at the state meet in Mandan. Sage Patzer was the lone finalist in poetry and placed sixth. Competitors included: front row, left to right: Joie Helseth in humorous duo and humorous interpretation, Briley Carr in humorous interpretation, and Ryder Schlafman-Hieb in speech to entertain. Back row: Alexis Harris in storytelling, Eric Hallwachs in humorous duo, Emery Patzer in humorous duo, Sage Patzer in poetry, and Sarah Hallwachs in radio broadcasting and speech to inform. Congratulations to all team members for earning their state berth and to Sage Patzer who placed sixth in finals in poetry!
