Pearl Lukenbach
Pearl F. Lukenbach, 87, Sykeston, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, N.D.
Private family services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home. Pastor Shirley Teske will officiate and burial will be in the Heaton Cemetery.
Pearl Frances Muscha was born December 2, 1935, at Harvey, N.D., the daughter of August and Edith Ida (Duda) Muscha. She grew up in the Martin and Harvey areas and attended school, graduating from Harvey High School in 1953.
She married Harry A. Lukenbach on June 1, 1954, at Fessenden, N.D., and they made their home near Hurdsfield, N.D., for a time.
In 1960, they moved south of Sykeston, where Harry worked for Polries Farms. They later moved to Sykeston and started milking cows. Pearl later worked at Holy Family Guest Home and Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.
Pearl loved to ride horses and always had a large vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters (Gen and Puz) and Harry when he could, but her greatest joy was visiting places with children and grandchildren.
Pearl is survived by her children, Kathy Klocke, Fessenden, N.D., Joan (Loren) Larson, Fargo, N.D., and Dean Lukenbach, Sedgwick, Kan.; sister, Dottie Ozog, Mansfield, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by his parents; husband, Harry; son, Kim; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Lukenbach; son-in-law, Louis Klocke; brothers, Clarence and Bernie Muscha and sisters, LuVerne Axtman and Genevieve Otto.
