Samuel Matteson
Samuel Eugene Matteson died June 16, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, after a brief battle with a vicious illness.
Samuel Eugene Matteson was born February 25, 2022, at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Garrett and Taylor (Belile) Matteson.
Sammy joined older brother Harvey, and the two immediately began scheming, planning, and executing Operation Chaos, a surefire way to make adults smile and shake their heads. The operation was a complete success.
Sammy enjoyed a good meal, way more than the adults that cleaned up after him. Plans were being drawn up to build a cabinet that Sam and his high chair could fit in and be cleaned up, like a car wash. The family dogs gained weight every time Sam was strapped in for a meal and they loved him for it.
Sam thoroughly enjoyed everything – strolling around the yard, getting eggs with MooMoo, playing with a mountain of toys on the living room floor with Dad and Harvey, Wal-Mart runs with Mom and road trips to see family and friends in Minnesota. He took it all in and absorbed EVERYTHING with a twinkle in his eye. He was, and now always will be, such a GOOD little boy.
Sam's family requests that you hug your kids, read them a story, take them to a Twins game, and tell them you love them, every chance you get.
There has been a memorial fund opened up in the Matteson Family name at Gate City Bank in Carrington. If you're interested in donating, you can stop by or call the bank.
A private service will be held.
