Bessette Motors was the co-winner with Harildstad Tax Service for Best Use of Theme in the parade contest, sponsored by the Carrington Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Gedrose family from Cathay took the time to decorate this float in honor of their family reunion. Their float earned the tie with Harildstad Tax Service for Best Decorated Float in the Carrington Chamber of Commerce's parade contest.

The Fourth of July in Carrington, as always, was a festive affair of patriotism. The fireworks display at the Foster County Fairgrounds returned to the Central City with a dazzling array of pyrotechnics.
