This thing is heavy! Paisley Marcotte uses a two-handed approach for her effort in the shot put. She will be entering second grade this fall.
Cullen Ekren puts maximum effort and contortion into this attempt while participating in the third grade boys' softball throw. Ekren would place second in the event.
Paisley Lura took second in the fourth grade girls' long jump.
A total of 172 youth from ages preschool through sixth grade, participated in the 22nd Annual Youth Track Meet at Stadium '22 here on Monday night, July 17.
The event is produced by a host of volunteers in the community and features running, throwing and jumping events geared for the age group.
Organizers Shane and Mary Wendel wish to thank the sponsor of the Youth Track Meet, CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington Medical Center, Carrington Public School for the use of the track, Leevers Foods for donating water, Laurie Dietz of the Carrington Area Chamber of Commerce, and all the volunteers who made the event possible.
