Charles Dubourt
Charles Paul Dubourt, "Chuck," 70, died Friday August 4, 2023, at St. George Regional Hospital, St. George, Utah, from effects of type 2 diabetes.
Charles was born September 27, 1952, in Grand Forks, N.D. He graduated from Bowdon High School, 1970, and went on to earn a Master's Degree of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota, 1979. He was active in ROTC at UND, then entered the U.S. Army earning the rank of Captain. Charles worked in business throughout the West retiring in 2010 to the St. George area.
Charles was a wonderful person with an excellent memory for history and sports trivia. He kept a positive outlook on life, always reminding others, "Everything is going to work out. It will all be OK."
His family expresses their deep gratitude to all the Southern Utah medical providers who helped Charles throughout his long courageous battle.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, in historic St. Joseph Cemetery, LeRoy, N.D., where his parents, sister and grandparents, North Dakota pioneers Leon and Amanda Beliveau Dubourt, are interred.
Charles is deeply missed by his surviving family, sisters LaRaine Angela, Polly Ann (Dennis), Marcello Theresa, and brother Patrick Leon as well as nieces Margery (Bill), Kathryn (Kevin), Anne Marie, Shannon, and Anne Elizabeth (David) and nephews Joseph, James, Anthony and Paul (Amanda).
Charles is preceded in death by his beloved parents Paul Louis and LaRaine Catherine, his twin sisters Margery Catherine and Madge Amanda as well as nephews Daniel, Paul and Andre.
