The Carrington Cardinal volleyball team made a successful debut in their 2023-24 opening match, taking a 3-0 win over the Harvey/Wells County Hornets Tuesday, August 29, at the Hornets' Nest in Harvey.
Scores from the match were 25-12, 25-15 and 25-20 in the Cards' favor. Statistics from the Tuesday match were not available at press time.
CHS (1-0) took on Thompson last Thursday night in their home opener in the East Gym, while HWC (1-4) faced Drake-Anamoose in Drake. Both matches were against non-region opponents.
The Hornets travel to Steele to match up with Kidder County on Tuesday, and they begin Super Region 4 play on September 12 with a road match against St. John.
Carrington begins District 5 play on Thursday when they host Edgeley-Kulm/Montpelier.
