Celebrating EVS team at CHI
National Healthcare Environmental Services (EVS) Week is held the second week of September each year.
EVS week is a perfect time to show your environmental services team how much they are appreciated, and how thankful we are for the services they provide. This team works hard each day cleaning and disinfecting the healthcare environment for the health of our patients, clinicians, and staff.
The last few years have brought many changes and challenges, and these staff members have remained resilient in their efforts to protect patients and staff from coronavirus, and other dangerous pathogens.
The EVS team at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington consists of three hard working ladies. These ladies are: Alice Ellingson, Paula Johnston, and Connie Kutz. Each and every day these ladies clean and disinfect the entire hospital, clinic, and New Rockford Community Clinic. They also assist with other hospital duties such as painting, floor maintenance and lawn care.
The dedication of this team is evident each and every day. In addition to their daily requirements, they can be called upon numerous times a day to address unplanned cleaning needs that arise throughout the hospital and clinic. They also continued to show up and provide top notch services while having to wear a mask during COVID. The dedication of these ladies is also evident in the number of years they have been employed with our hospital. Alice has been a member of our team for over 40 years; Paula 13 years and Connie 6 years.
CHI St Alexius Health Carrington is a cleaner, safer place to work and receive care because of our Environmental Services Team. We are thankful they choose to work for our hospital. If you happen to see one of these ladies, please thank them for their hard work and dedication.
