FFA members raise money for Great Plains Food Bank

The community service project for the 2023 North Dakota FFA Leadership Conference challenged FFA members to raise money for the Great Plains Food Bank. The "Change for Hunger Coin War" pitted the chapters in the four west FFA districts against the four east FFA districts across the state to see which side could raise the most money. The Carrington FFA Chapter held a "Buck for Duck" event on Wednesday, September 13 during CHS Homecoming Week. Members were encouraged to bring one dollar in change to select their lucky duck that they raced down PVC slides. The winners won a gift card to a local business sponsored by the Carrington FFA Chapter. Over $150 was raised that will be donated to the statewide service project.

A total of $339.51 was raised by the Carrington FFA Chapter and the east side FFA chapters beat the west! The total amount raised was $3,527.
