Thomas got her 2,000th career dig in a 3-2 victory for the Thunder against Linton-HMB last Tuesday night, but the accomplishment was not formally announced until last Thursday's match with Kidder County.

The M-P-B Thunder and their supporters witnessed a great individual accomplishment Tuesday night, September 26 in Medina.
Senior Allison Thomas racked up her 2,000th career dig in the Thunder's five-set win over the Linton-HMB Lady Lions, and is also chasing quadruple digits for kills during her five-year varsity career in the process.
Thomas finished with 37 digs in the 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 16-25 and 15-9 victory to put M-P-B in the top spot in the District 6 race midway through the season. The Thunder are now 12-5 and 2-0 in league action.
She also led M-P-B with 19 kills in the match, followed by 15 from Maddie Gefroh and 12 by Brynn Sorenson. At setter, Violet Bohl converted 42 assists.
Thomas' milestone was not announced until her first dig last Thursday in Steele against Kidder County.
Five nights earlier in Pingree, the Thunder had mostly token resistance from the Wilton-Wing Miners in an efficient 25-7, 25-11 and 25-7 victory.
Thomas had 11 kills, 16 digs and four aces in that contest, pursued closely by Gefroh with 10 kills, to go along with two blocks. Sorenson, a sophomore, had seven kills to aid in victory over the Miners.
Bohl had 29 assists and five aces for leadership in both of those statistics for M-P-B.
Back on Tuesday, September 14, the Thunder were five-set victims to LaMoure/Litchville-Marion in intra-Region 3 play. Stats from that match are at the end of this article.
Today (October 2), the Thunder finish their three-game swing through District 6 play by hosting Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter. Barnes County North is the opponent in Leal Thursday night, and the weekend concludes in Carrington as M-P-B plays in the 12-team Varsity Tournament Saturday, October 7.
