Carrington improved to 2-1 in District 5 matches with a three-set win against the Ellendale Cardinals Tuesday night, September 26, in Ellendale.
Scores from the match were 25-11, 25-18 and 25-23, all in CHS' favor.
Edyn Hoornaert and Madison Johnson were the big offensive forces for the local Cardinals, hitting for seven kills each in the win. Ellendale (6-8, 1-3 District 5) was paced by nine kills from Ariel Hagen.
This past Friday and Saturday, the Cards played in the two-day Des Lacs-Burlington Laker Invitational.
On Tuesday, the team hits the bus for a road District 5 match with Barnes County North, and they host their own varsity invitational Saturday, October 7, in the West and East Gyms.
