The M-P-B Thunder solidified their hold on the top of the District 6 standings with two wins over league opponents Thursday and Monday, September 28 and October 2.
In Steele, the Thunder cruised to a 25-14, 25-11 and 25-14 victory at the expense of Kidder County, and four nights later, followed suit with a 25-9, 25-16 and 25-17 home triumph against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter in Medina.
Junior Maddie Gefroh was the top hitter and net defender in both matches, as the tall left-hander put up stat lines of 17 and 12 kills, to go along with three and two stuff blocks.
Allison Thomas had 10 kills in the win over the Wolves, and finished with 11 against the Imperials in the Monday match. Facing Kidder County, Thomas had 33 digs.
Brynn Sorenson hit 13 kills versus the Wolves, and also had 23 digs. Combining for 72 assists in the two matches was setter Violet Bohl.
M-P-B (14-5, 4-0) finishes up District 6 play against the S-Z Clippers Tuesday.
