Saturday, October 7 saw the Hornets in action at the Carrington Tournament.
The Hornets played three matches in pool play, splitting with the Velva Aggies and dropping 2-0 games to Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier and the Jamestown junior varsity.
In tournament play, the Hornets opened up against the Grand Forks Red River sophomores and after losing the first game, came storming back to defeat the Roughriders 22-25, 25-19 and 15-9. The win put them up against the host team Carrington, where their day ended in a 25-15, 25-10 defeat.
