Cross Country at Bible Camp

The 2023 cross country season is hitting the home stretch, and Carrington, Griggs/Midkota and M-P-B were all on hand at the Cooperstown Bible Camp's sprawling campus Thursday, October 12, for the final regular season meet.

Runners will now prepare for the postseason, as the East Region Meet was held last Saturday at Cooperstown Golf Club. The culmination of the season, the State Class B Cross Country Meet, will be held Friday, October 27, at Parkhurst Recreation Area north of Jamestown.

Top 20-level performances in the varsity race on the boys' side came from the Titans' Luka Berg (sixth, 18:05.01) and CHS' Joe Lindberg (15th, 18:48.74).

Girls' racers to make the top 20 included Kadence Spickler of G-M in 15th (21:57.98), Macy Fiebiger of Carrington just behind her in 16th with a 21:59.28 time, and the Titans' Tianna McCardle taking 18th (22:14.91).

Shawna Nix had the top finish for the Thunder with a 56th place time in the varsity girls' race, running 23:49.76.
