A special tree will be brightened at Carrington Medical Center on Monday, December 4, 2023, when Carrington Medical Center Auxiliary celebrates its 37th annual "Tree of Lights".
This project has been rewarding and inspiring ever since its inception in 1987. The evergreen tree, which was planted especially for this project, has grown tremendously and the lighting continues to be awe-inspiring.
CHI Hospice and Home Health have received one half of the proceeds for the past 18 years and will once again be a recipient. The other portion of the funds will be given to the Carrington Medical Center for the purchase of medical equipment for the facility.
"Tree of Lights" forms will be available at all medical centers in Carrington and New Rockford, area churches, and an ad that will be placed in a future edition of the Foster County Independent. Lights may be purchased in memory of someone or as a special greeting to someone. Lights are priced as: White -$2.00, Blue - $5.00, Green -$10.00, Red - $25.00, Gold $50.00.
The list of donors will be published in the Foster County Independent after the new year and also posted by the gift shop at Carrington Medical Center. The Happy Heart Hutch also will be open special hours 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. December 4 to celebrate the lighting of the tree with a special 25% discount storewide.
